About the Event

Juneteenth “Freedom Day” has been a tradition in the US for over 150 years. The deep roots of this celebration originated in Texas, where enslaved African Americans in the city of Galveston were finally informed of their freedom on June 19, 1865, about two and half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863. The celebration has grown throughout the years, finally being recognized as a National Holiday in 2021.

Join us for this family friendly outdoor celebration for ALL community members centered around the pillars below:

Educate about the significance of Juneteenth

Celebrate/Uplift leaders and cultural traditions of the Black Community

Economic Empowerment of Businesses and Organizations

Community Empowerment by providing resources, support and building relationships across Bucks County

The event will be FREE to all community members.  Participation is open to ALL businesses, vendors and organizations. If you are intersted in having a table/tent at the event please let us know. The event will be FREE to all community members.
